Experience with WoW: Been playing since: 16/05/06. I have seven level 80's though my main is a Druid Healer which I have ICC10 on farm. I have tried RP a few times in the past, I am a very creative person and grew up writing stories, poems songs etc

Work/student/other: I work as a Network Manager looking after 13 servers and 400+ Computers

What can you contribute with in the guild: I hope I can contribute another character that is identical to what you are looking for in your CoC. I am also taking my time with this character to develop it's personality. I want a char that I read the quest, decide on a moral basis and have a storyline to, way before dinging 80. I think it is my creative side screaming at my logical side that 'yeah we can see you can level fast, give me some stimulation!'

Your average online time: Is this per week or overall? My total time played with all my chars is 168 days. On my main I have raiding on Sunday and Wednesday, from 7pm(UK) till 11pm and the rest of the time is for leveling alts, I would say I probably spend between 2-3hrs an evening and sometimes more on a weekend.

(I am currently writing my daily diary whilst I play, this is why I am not leveling as fast as I should be)

BACKGROUND
Grew up in a normal family, both parents worked hard. Father was a member of the light and was rarely seen, mothers family was a magic family who lived in Dalaran, his parents meet when his father rescued his mother whilst she was out walking in the woods outside goldshire, she was on a trip to stormwind and wander though the gates. She got attacked by a defias brotherhood, who had stripped her of all her of everything and beat her.

They were young and it was love at first sight. Father asked if mother could stay with them, mothers family didn't like her, was to much of a rogue child, and she hated magic, so agreed readily. Mother moved to stormwind with fathers family. Mother and Father got married while his mother was heavily pregnant, Arturiun, born a few weeks later, just as his father went to fight with the paladins.

Was born as a single child, and brought up by mother whilst father was a paladin. Mother is a baker, but knows some magic she picked up when growing up on Dalaran. He has lived entirely in stormwind, with stories of his father, though many sounded to good to be true, he was an adventurer, often getting into trouble, but couldn't venture to far, because of his mothers fear of the defias brotherhood, this caused him to hate them even more.

When he was a bit older, started to be aware that his father didn't return home when others did. But mother said that was due to him being committed.

When coming of age he decided to follow his father and become a paladin. He is in his first steps of training.

DIARY


My coming of age has arrived. I was sent to Northshire Valley by my mother. I pondered for a while on what I wish to become. But I knew deep-down inside I was to follow in my fathers footsteps. My mother says she is proud of me, I hope I do not let her down.

I didn't realise the hard work involved. My mother has pampered me. Though this is only the start of my training it is hard work for a sheltered man. Killing is never easy, but if this is what I have to do to protect my people and my home I shall do!

My trainer has said if I pass my grades I will soon be able to visit my mother. It hasn't been very long, but, I still miss her dearly.

The mentors and people are treating me well in Northshire. As I do my daily chores I am being aloud to keep any items I come across. I find I get free board wherever I go, the perks of being a Paladin they say. But I have to pay for my food and armour. I have been saving my gold as I don't know if I will need it in the future.

I worked deep into the night into the night ridding Northshire of Kolbolds.
Unfortunately the abbey has no Inn! I do miss the nightlife of Stormwind but soon I will visit.

I have awoken to a fantastic job. I must kill defias. Yes! Those scum who attacked my dear mother. Though without them my father and her would never of met! But for what they put her though I will be happy to dispatch them.

It's a new day! And today I am to be transferred to Goldshire. And guess what! They have an Inn. Mmmmm My mouth is salivating at the though already.

Wow, once your a known Paladin you are a defender of all. Every time I help someone three more have heard of my deeds and want help too. I finally got to sleep pass midnight, luckily I have grown friendly with the Inn owners and their daughter prepared and saved me a meal. I am well fed and sleepy....goodnight.

I have awoke to be told I need to deliver a package to stormwind! This is fantastic news, I must look my smartest and visit my mother. I should have spare time. I have been told this will probably be the last time I see her for a long while...I won't tell her that, she will just be upset. I will make sure I write. I can smell the baked bread now!

I handed in my task and saw my mother, she is looking tired and drawn, but I kept up a happy face. She served me my favourite meal, Westfall stew and bread. I told her I couldn't stay long as I had a few errands to run, I could tell she was upset but she didn't let on. She gave me money for a haircut, it was getting messy she said paladins should have long beautiful locks, she said my father has those....so I dutifully went to the barbers, and then it was out of stormwind and on my way.

I am in awe, outside the gates General Marcus Jonathan stopped me. He asked me my name and apologised as he thought I was a defias, I get this a lot, but my eyes give me away, they are sky blue, just like my mothers. He praised me! He said he knowns my mother and that I will be a fine Paladin and protector of Stormwind.
This made my day, nothing can go wrong now.

It is a long walk to Guard Thomas. I have to speak to him and he will have some orders for me. On my way I saw a wolf kill a rabbit and it finally hit me with how wild life is out here. I am sure I will encounter worse, but the realisation is only just setting in.

A horde Death Knight blocked my path, I could smell her stench. She had an evil glint in her eye but she did not draw her sword. Do I really look that untrained? As she turned and ran towards Goldshire, I wallowed in self pity. I sat at the edge of that road and saw her face in my mind....she cleary mocked me, I thinkis it due to my armour. If this is the way evil judges your worth I need to work harder to get my gear to become a fighter.

On my way I found Antonio Perelli, he said he was on his way to Stormwind, so I asked him to give my mother a note....

It read:

Dear Mother,

I am well and on my way to meet Guard Thomas.

Guard Thomas gave me two tasks. The first was to rid the area of vermin, this was easy I had done it several times before. The second was to find two of his men that had gone missing. He sounding positive and hoped they were alive, but I started to feel sick to my stomach of what I may find.


I AM HOPING TO PAD THIS OUT IN THE LONG TERM TO MAKE A NOVEL LIKE STORY, BUT TO SAVE TIME I WRITE ON THE MOVE.

Hey! Welcome to the DoL forum and thanks for the application. It was really good - I enjoyed reading the diary and I hope you can continue it as your character develops, hopefully as a Disciple.

One suggestion - have you thought about making your character being a bit younger? I have read many a time that Humans enter adulthood in WoW when they reach 15/16ish (some even younger). But that's just a thought anyway.
