An application or a Re-Application

Hello Everyone,

Hopefully some people will remember Roose I was a member of the DoL until a few months ago when I disappeared with out an explanation. I was called away abroad at very short notice with work and will return in a month or so, once I get back I will have a lot of time off to take so will be getting back in to wow and Rp with a vengeance. I intend to create both an Alliance character and a Horde character (having never experienced horde RP) and I would be honoured for my Alliance Character to be considered for a place in the DoL.

Experience with WoW: Been playing WOW for a while off and on for quite a while. I know quite a bit of Warcraft Lore especially when it comes to Light Wielding Alliance Characters (I was a very attentive student in all of Rentarns lessons) I currently don't have any characters, but I do have plenty of Rp experience of both the pen and paper kind and in wow.

How did you hear of us?: The first time I joined DoL I was recruited by Rentarn after joining some random Rp outside the cathedral and the rest they say is history.

Do you know anyone in the order already?: Not sure who is still about and active, but I hope a lot of people will recognise the name Roose.

Hobbies: Rugby, shooting, reading, military history.

Work/student/other: Work

What can you contribute with in the guild: Well I would hope plenty I am in my opinion an experienced Rper who in the past has organised events and assisted with the running of guilds.

Age/DoB: 27 years old.

Short Piece of writing: This has changed just ever so slightly from my initial background for Rodbard however this is the character I will create and join (if you will have me) the DoL with.

Rodbard Cullen was born in Lordaeron to a small family of refugees from Westfall a year before the start of the Second War, following the end of the Second War the Cullen family returned to Westfall to rebuild the family farm. Life growing up in Westfall between the Second and Third War was hard yet it made Rodbard grow up tall and strong and his parents also instilled in him a strong belief in the Light. Life in Westfall also taught Rodbard the natural skills of a scout and woodsman, how to shoot a bow and fight with sword, shield and knife.

Rodbard fought during the beginning of the Third War in the Westfall Regiment created by Gryan Stoutmantle and returned with him to fight against the Defias Brotherhood as member of the Peoples Militia. After the downfall of the Defias Brotherhood the Peoples Militia was reorganised in to the Westfall Brigade to fight against the Lich King in Northrend.

Having fought with the Peoples Militia for around seven years Rodbard couldn’t turn his back on his comrades and so went with the Westfall Brigade to Northrend. The Westfall Brigade fought throughout the campaign against the Lich King eventually finishing the war at an Encampment in the Grizzly Hills. With the war over Rodbard returned to Westfall to find his elder brother working the family farm, at the age of 27 and having lived the life he has Rodbard did not want to start working for his brother and so headed to Stormwind.

Rodbard has always had a practical belief in the power of the light inherited from his parents and the countless horrors and miracles he has witnessed have only reinforced this belief. It was this belief that drew him to the Cathedral to pray for enlightenment and while there he noticed some members of The Disciples of Light. Rodbard was intrigued they were obviously a military brotherhood, yet were clearly devout light believers; perhaps this was a new group of comrades who would welcome him with open arms.
